Maryborough Hospital Nurses Celebrate Lamington Day with Fun and Games

This month, the Maryborough Hospital nurses took a short break from their busy schedules to celebrate Lamington Day with a twist.

The celebration included not only delicious treats but also a lively session of team-building games, bringing joy to both staff and patients.

The nurses took ten minutes out of their day to participate in some novelty hospital-themed games.

The winners of each ward were awarded vouchers for coffee, adding a little extra incentive to the fun.

The positive impact of the event was felt throughout the hospital.

Patients in the wards remarked on how refreshing it was to hear the nurses laugh and take a moment to enjoy themselves.

Director of Nursing at Maryborough Hospital, Tracey Cropp, said it was a nice chance to spend some light-hearted time with the staff.

"Nursing can be an incredibly demanding profession, both physically and emotionally,” she said.

“It's essential to take moments like these to bond as a team and recharge."

“When our nurses are happy and connected, it directly impacts the quality of care they provide to our patients."

“Lamington Day was a perfect opportunity to remind everyone that a little bit of fun can go a long way in maintaining a positive and supportive work environment."
