Stand up to cancer_edm

Congratulations to the WBHHS Lifeblood team in Bundaberg for achieving the second highest team donations in the Bundaberg Donor Centre. What a great achievement!

Our health service has been a longtime supporter of Lifeblood, and our teams are regular donors across the region.

You may already know that blood products can be used in cancer treatment, but, did you know that more blood donations go to people with cancer than any other group?

Our teams are making an incredible difference already to people living with cancer and other serious illnesses — but more donations are always needed.

That’s why Lifeblood has partnered with Cancer Council this World Cancer Day (4 February) and throughout February to raise awareness of the vital role of blood donations in cancer treatment.

Help your team show their support for people with cancer this Feb! Anyone who donates during the month will get a daffodil bandage designed by Aussie artist Beci Orpin.

How can you stand up to cancer this Feb?

1.            Donate in Feb for a daffodil bandage. Don’t forget to book in a group donation  (using our new easier booking process) during the month too.

2.            Show they’re standing up to cancer by sharing photos of their bandages to #lifebloodau @cancercouncil @beciorpin

If this topic causes you to need to talk about cancer, please call the Cancer Council on 13 11 20.
