How long have you been with WBHHS?
5.5 years

How do you describe what you do?
I work within a team to support patients to achieve activation on the Kidney Transplant list whilst also assisting them with their dialysis treatments.

What’s best about your job?
Seeing it all come together and patients achieving their treatment goals, whatever they may be and what’s right for them.

What was your path into health care?
After pursuing a career in the science field, I found that petrie dishes do not talk back. I craved that human contact that led me to nursing and have not looked back since. I am celebrating 25 years nursing this year!

What does being part of a team mean to you?
Working together to achieve timely patient outcomes and seeing staff grow.

When you’re not at work, you are…
Gardening and cooking!

What do you enjoy about living in Wide Bay?

The outdoor lifestyle: the beach, the sun, the water. Why do I work inside again?

Tell us a fun fact about you.

I have a repertoire of songs that my patients LOVE to hear me sing!

What song are you listening to most right now?
Too Sweet by Hozier
