The sausages were sizzling and staff were smiling at the recent Clinical Council all staff BBQs in Hervey Bay and Bundaberg.
Members of the Clinical Council were busy serving up lunch and chatting to staff about the key role the Clinical Council plays in representing all clinical staff across the health service.
Allied Health Principal Project Officer said the event hadn’t come together without a lot of help.
“A special thank you goes to the wonderful Operational Services staff who made the BBQs happen and our Clinical Council consumer representative Mark, who attended the Bundaberg BBQ on his day off to help,” she said.
The role of the Clinical Council is to provide expert clinical advice on improving healthcare delivery in our local hospital and health service.
The Clinical Council acts as an interface between the WBHHS executive and medical, nursing and allied health clinicians.
A key focus of the council is staff recruitment, retention and wellbeing.
Upcoming Clinical Council events include visits to the rural sites in May and June and an all-staff BBQ at Maryborough Hospital.
For more information WBHHHS staff can visit the intranet site WBHHS Clinical Council, chat to a clinician representative or email the council via WBHHS-Clinical-Council@health.qld.gov.au.
