Last week over 100 of our colleagues attended around 30 design workshops to share their specialist expertise and experience with the project architects, representing the interests of our broader team.
We also welcomed several consumers to participate – engaging with all types of users provides valuable and ongoing insight at every step of the process, so that the best patient outcomes can be achieved.
Workshops focussed on room positioning within each department, ensuring clear patient and staff flows, and understanding how the delivery of consumables and the collection/disposal of waste will occur.
It was a productive week full of great engagement and valuable feedback from staff and consumers. Architects will now take this feedback away and get ready to present updated layouts next month.
