The team at Bundaberg Health Services Foundation is looking forward to a bright future with a new name: Partners in Care Together.
Acting Chair of the Bundaberg Health Services Foundation, Cathie Parker, said the new name will encompass the Foundation’s services and footprint.
“The Board are very excited to be launching a new name for the Foundation. The name and logo will represent our values and our aspirations into the future.” Cathie said.
“We believe Partners in Care Together will better reflect not only our continued commitment to Bundaberg Hospital, but also our expanded service to support other hospitals within the Wide Bay Hospital area.”
Currently the Foundation provides fundraising support for non-funded equipment, volunteer services, scholarships, and patient accommodation at Bundaberg Hospital.
The Foundation launched the new name Partners in Care Together, on 31 March 2023 at 10.30 am, alongside the arrival of a new community car, which was generously funded through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
Tom Smith, Member for Bundaberg said, "Community partnerships is at the heart of regional health care, and that is why I am so glad to see the new name of the Bundaberg Health Services Foundation reflect that very principle."
"Partners in Care Together resonates with the outstanding legacy created towards strengthening regional health services formed by the partnership of the Foundation's hard-working team and the world class health staff at the Bundaberg Hospital."
Foundation Manager Brant Duff said the car is very welcome.
“The new car will help us to continue providing a quality service to our patients travelling to Cancer and Renal Care Appointments. With added safety features and better accessibility, the new car will help to improve patient comfort,” Brant said.
Looking to the future, there are plans for a Giving Day for each of Bundaberg and Hervey Bay Hospitals in June 2023 with the Foundation seeking Corporate Support.
