Our structure
We're an independent statutory body governed by a board. Our board has 8 non-executive members. The Governor in Council and the Minister for Health and Ambulance Services appoint our board members. The Minister is also responsible for Queensland Health who:
- monitors our performance through Service Agreements
- provides funding for public health services in the Wide Bay area.

We provide hospital and health services to over 219,000 people in the Wide Bay area through 3 divisions.
- Our professional division manages our nursing, midwifery, medical and allied health services.
- Our clinical service division manages our mental health, specialist, acute hospital and community services.
- Our support division manages our governance processes, staff, finance management and operations including security, cleaning and catering.

Chief Executive
Debbie Carroll is our Chief Executive and is responsible for:

- financial performance
- hospital and health service performance

Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery Services
Fiona Sewell is our Executive Director responsible for:
- professional standards, qualifications and education for nurses and midwives
- nursing and midwifery recruitment and workforce planning
- practice guidance and clinical governance
- patient and nursing research and operations.
Executive Director Medical Services
Our Executive Director is responsible for:
- professional standards, qualifications and education for doctors
- junior doctor management
- medical administration
- medical professional recruitment and workforce planning
- practice guidance and clinical governance.
Executive Director Allied Health
Stephen Bell is our Executive Director responsible for:
- professional standards, qualifications and education for allied health care staff
- recruitment and workforce planning
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander healthcare
- practice guidance and clinical governance
- research.
Clinical service division
Executive Director Mental Health and Specialised Services
Robyn Bradley is our Executive Director responsible for:
- mental health inpatient and community care units
- alcohol and drug services
- youth and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mental healthcare
- forensic mental health and court liaison services
- mental health services at Maryborough Correctional Centre
- quality and risk management
- service development and performance.
Chief Operating Officer
Ben Ross-Edwards is our Chief Operating Officer responsible for:
- inpatient services including general medical, cancer and chronic disease care
- emergency and critical care
- surgery services
- medical imaging, pathology and pharmacy services
- family and community services including oral health and BreastScreen
- rural hospital management
- operations and administration support.
Support division

Luci Caswell is our Executive Director responsible for:
- staff and employee management and recruitment
- legal services
- health and safety at work.
Executive Director Finance and Performance
Martin Clifford is our Executive Director responsible for:
- finance management and corporate accounting
- finance strategy and performance
- information technology services.
Executive Director Governance
Robyn Scanlan is our Executive Director responsible for:
- supporting the board and executive services
- risk management and compliance
- clinical governance and quality assurance
- consumer feedback, media and communications.
